![]() Hi guys, this is my first post, so just a little info about me… I have for most of my life been involved with the fishing tackle trade, either as a rep or an agent for some of the big names in the tackle world. I love fly fishing for salmon, and dare I say, I am reasonably proficient. This year ie 2010, I broke the record on the Crathes beat (river Dee Scotland), for the amount of fish caught in a day. This was 9 set in 1946. I caught 10 plus a seatrout on 2nd September. In the past I have won many casting championships including the Game Fair, the Scottish Game Fair (scone palace), and the most recent being the Killermarsh Angling Fair in 2008. I also coarse fish, do sea fishing (only from the bench as I get sea sick), and shoot. Anyway, enough about me, the reason for this post is that, during my life I have made a lot of contacts. One of these contacts, a guy called Jan Daugaard who has a fishing camp/ lodge on the River Storjdal in Norway. He has owned this camp for 40 years, and I have been taking parties/friends there for 10 years. The first year I only had 1 week so I did not need to advertise this fishing as I filled it by word of mouth. As the years have gone by, I now have 5 weeks fishing in June/July/August hence this post. If anybody out there would like a weeks fishing or would like to make up their own party ie 6 anglers, then please contact me as I would love to hear from you. This is the first time this fishing has been advertised in this way. The details of the fishing accommodation etc are a bit involved, so you will need to contact me for the full particulars. The basics of it are £1650 per person per week, from when you arrive in Trondheim Norway. The flight is about £100/120 return Gatwick/Trondheim, 2 hours flight time. Leave Gatwick Sunday am, fish Sunday pm. You may wish to go by boat, take a car, have some extra time in Norway before or after your fishing. This is why I don’t include the flight, but if you wish me to, I can arrange it for you. Anything is possible, just ask! I can’t promise you fish, that’s in the lap of the gods, but we have always caught! The River Storjdal is rated amongst the top 10 rivers in Norway every year. Over 45 tonnes of fish in a 3 month season, a number of them over 30lbs, and some over 40lbs. what I can promise you is very willing helpful guides that will do all they can to put you on fish, a very comfortable well run lodge and all the help you could wish for. We have 3km of private lodge water and access to 20km of club water. This really is possibly the best, value for money, fishing available anywhere. Definitely worth a call.
