KJS - Killamarsh is a 4 pool complex on Station Road Killamarsh. The first pool on the complex is the Mixed coarse lake and holds a nice head of fish with some carp to around the 10lb mark. The platforms from fishing on are well maintained and spascious. There are some good features to fish to includind lillies and reeds. Some of the pegs are a little bare but this makes for easy pole fishing or whip for a bite a chuck on maggot. The next pool you come to is West Pines. This is a snake lake and every peg is nicely grown with marginal planting and reeds. On almost every peg there is a far bank or an island to fish to. The carp lake is the next one a long. This is a very mature water and as some nice carp to around the 30lb mark. There is always plenty of color in the water and 2 large islands that are reachable from almost every peg. There is also a canal complex here for the keen match angler. These are stocked to the brim with stockies, silvers and some nice bream. I have had a couple of days here so as yet don't really know the best baits etc but I was pulling from the margins on sweetcorn and getting nice bites on meat that I wasn't able to hit. Tight lines everyone!!! I might be ugly but just check out my empty bank account! |
